Ten, tiny breaths By K.A.Tucker

Just breathe, Kacey. Ten tiny breaths. Seize them. Feel them. Love them. Four years ago Kacey Cleary's life imploded when her car was hit by a drunk driver, killing her parents, boyfriend, and best friend. Still haunted by memories of being trapped inside, holding her boyfriend's lifeless hand and listening to her mother take her last breath, Kacey wants to leave her past behind. Armed with two bus tickets, twenty-year-old Kacey and her fifteen-year-old sister, Livie, escape Grand Rapids, Michigan, to start over in Miami. Struggling to make ends meet, Kacey needs to figure out how to get by. But Kacey's not worried. She can handle anything-anything but her mysterious neighbour in apartment 1D. Trent Emerson has smouldering blue eyes, deep dimples, and he perfectly skates that irresistible line between nice guy and bad boy. Hardened by her tragic past, Kacey is determined to keep everyone at a distance, but their mutual attraction is undeniable and Trent is determined to find a way into Kacey's guarded heart-even if it means that an explosive secret could shatter both their worlds.
Warning spoilers ....

Kacey is a young girl trying to cope with her traumatic past. After loosing her parents, bestfriend and boyfriend in a horrific car accident she struggles to come to terms with the fact the Kacey she once was did not die in that car accident. She was a really stubborn woman and even though it was hard to read at times i could totally understand her coping mechanism.
The story line was pure and emotional and full of heartfelt emotions that made me cry for her, for her sister and for her past.
When she meets Trent i knew straight away he was one who survived in the other car. Call it intuition, but i just knew. Either way i still loved the guy. I know i would feel exactly the same in Kacey situation and i would hate the man and the other men just like she did. I also saw Trent side of it and i agreed with the shrink on his view of the situation. I loved how it opened up both sides of their stories and their emotions but most of all what they all lost that day.

I loved her relationship with Livi and Kacey's relationship, how could anyone not. They were so the opposites yet they worked brilliantly together. After the loss of their parents, the betrayal of their uncle and Aunt i really don't think they realized how strong they both really were.

The characters in the book were really fun to read about and i loved the growing family Kacey and Livi make whilst living there.
When they first described storm i thought oh hell we have a blond bimbo in the mist. Looks really can be deceiving because i bloody loved her. The only thing that annoyed me was the fact they put her in as working in a strip club. Granted it was an upper class one but still why are all single moms in novels working in a strip club but i like how it shows the lengths a mother will go to, to provide for her child. I was just glad it showed Storm was so much more of a person then the huge boobs she carries round on her chest.
Plus her daughter Mia, even to me was adorable and i only read about her.

All in all i rated this novel 4* and was happy about the ending.
