Cleat Chaser By Celia Aaron

Kyrie Kent hates baseball. She hates players even more. When her best friend drags her to a Ravens game, she spends the innings reading a book… Until she gets a glimpse of the closer—a pitcher who draws her like a magnet. Fighting her attraction to Easton Holliday is easy. All she has to do is keep her distance, avoid the ballpark, and keep her head down. At least, all that would have worked, but Easton doesn’t intend to let Kyrie walk so easily. When another player vies for Kyrie’s attention, Easton will swing for the fences. But will Kyrie strike him out or let him steal home?

I have read so many books, so, so, so, many, but none written like this. The writing was out of this world and I've never seen anything written better than this. These two authors have a way of explaining things and I'm telling you, I could literally feel the chemistry between the two characters coming off the pages. It blew me away.
As a writer myself I always find ways of trying better to express myself, to express my characters, but nothing and I mean nothing, could get me to write like these two. They have it down.

It's so hard to explain. I wish I could but I can't. You have to read it and find out for yourselves exactly what I mean. There's is not a book I've EVER read that has made me feel an instant attraction between the two characters. I've always just taken words for an answer, so to speak. But I didn't need to go by the words in this book, I could feel it, I could see and it was such a new experience.

The story line is great and I read it in one sitting. Kyrie hates any players. Since she was cheated on and humiliated by her fiance who was also a player, she hasn't been able to move on, and especially with another player. But when she meets Easton she's immediately drawn to him. Not in a way that says, Oh he's fit, but in a deep, meaningful way. It was intense. She doesn't trust, so more Easton has his work cut out for him.

And boy does he ever. He fights for Kyrie tooth and nail and doesn't give up. Not once.
I did feel the sex scenes were pushed on Kyrie a little. He never gave her chance to say anything because he'd either kiss her before she even let out a breath, or used her body's wants over her minds wants.

I really enjoyed the book, the story line drew me from the beginning. I only had a few problems. One was some of the one liners, and banter conversations. I didn't get them. I felt like I was missing something sometimes or didn't understand what they meant by it.

The other was Easton's sister. My god her mouth. I don't mind girls swearing. It's all you hear from girls mouths. There's always fuck, shit, wanker, prick in one sentence or another. But jesus, she was so freaking crude. I hated her from the get go. She was demeaning, rude, foulmouthed, and come across as a selfcentered. I know some readers loved her character, but I honestly didn't like her. For a lesbian I honest thought she'd believe in women's rights etc, but she was just as degrading as some men out there. I could rant on all day about her. I know my last comment might seem judgemental, but the stuff that come out of her trap was just..... WOW!! I'd be embarrassed if I had a sister that spoke like that, treated girls like that. In fact, I'd feel the same way if it was my brother talking the way she was.

One night with a quarterback By Jeanette Murray

A one-night stand shouldn’t go into overtime…
She’s daddy’s little girl…or she would have been, had he known she existed. Cassie Wainwright thought her father—head coach of the Santa Fe Bobcats—ignored her purposefully. Come to find out, he had no clue she’d ever been born.
Now Cassie is determined to meet the man who’s always been missing from her life. Her mother warns her, being the long-lost daughter of a well-known NFL coach won’t be easy, but Cassie’s determined to stick it out. And before her life turns upside down, she wants one more night of fun.
Starting quarterback for the Santa Fe Bobcats, Trey Owens is tired of being in the limelight. Lucky for him, the beautiful brunette he meets at the club isn’t a local. She has no idea who he is…and she’s down to party.
Tomorrow, Cassie will think about her father. Tomorrow, she’ll think about her future. But tonight is for herself and the hottie she found on the dance floor. It’s a match made in heaven—if only for a night…

Firstly, I had read this novel a few weeks ago, and I'm only just catching up on writing reviews as I've been ill, so please bare with me.

Okay, so Cassie, who I think is an amazing strong, independent character leaves her small home town where she has her mom and best friend to go meet her dad for the first time.
I would like to say now, if this was me, I'd have said no to meeting him. She had so many clue ins as to what it was going to be like.
1) He booked her in for a meeting... not at home in a comfortable setting, no. He just booked her into his office as an appointment like she's just something he had to squeeze in.
2) the way he says MY GIRLS, like she isn't one of them.
3) The bloody rules. Oh My God. The bloody rules he gives her. She's a grown ass woman for christ sakes.
These are just a few, as the book progresses there are more reasons to hate the man and wonder why she's even there. As for the stepmomster, god I really disliked her and wondered when someone would tell her to get the stick from up her ass. It never happened.
I do think Cassie is treated way unfairly, and I did have to keep reminding myself that she was an adult and not some bratty teenager.

Now, to the relationship, not really one night when they have a hot few of them. I never really liked how they became a couple. I don't know why, but nothing really stuck with me as to say 'hey, you two suit'.
They keep their relationship under wraps. Cassie because of her dads rule and Trey because he doesn't want her to treat him differently because he's a football star.
Obviously, in the end they find out who each other is, yet still keep it under wraps.

Although I really enjoyed the book and will recommend this to followers, I found it dragged a little in places and wished it would hurry up.
The ending however was my favourite, I felt like everyone stepped up and was actually doing their best of a bad situation.
