Eight months.
That’s how long it’s been since Eliza last saw Gage and they both feel as if they don’t deserve one another’s forgiveness. He screwed up. She walked away without looking back. They’ll try and make up all the time they’ve lost with one another, that is until they’re facing the choices of either going their separate ways, or hanging on and fighting for dear life.
The fights will be endless. They heartache will be real. The demons will return, and they won’t back down without a fight.
There are some who will do anything to keep true love apart, and those same people will dig deep into their demonic ways until Eliza and Gage are literally no more.
Can Eliza and Gage overcome it all? Will they be able to face the true demons that are seeking to destroy them? Or will they just forget about everything they’ve worked so hard for and go their separate ways?
Sometimes you have to go through struggles in order to reach an ultimate point of peace… but will their struggle be worth it?

Read on for my review ....
So you all know i am a huge fan when it comes to the FireNines. I loved both characters but this book we get to see both as themselves. As who they are. Its real, Its raw, its extremely intense.
They haven't seen each other in eight months and both still feel anger towards each other, yet still love each other.
I understand why Eliza went away, she wanted to be able to provide for herself, for her future, for her independents.
But then to me what Gage did the last few nights was unforgivable. He should be the one saying sorry and not be angry towards Eliza when all she done was be there for him.
They finally agree to make ago of things but yet again Gage's cowardness comes before what he truly wants. Then is all blows up.
Gage leaves without a word and within moments Eliza knows he has chose to be with Penelope again.
The story isn't complicated and easy to follow but Gage makes it difficult to want to like him. As i supposedly Alpha male you would think he wouldn't be so whipped when it come to a black mailing woman.
To me i don't think the secret is big enough for what Gage give up. I understand his need to protect his secret but she made that choice and so what if people know. It doesn't define who he is as a rocker band, as a person or even as a role model. He is who he is.
Eliza understand this and accepts him for who he is. If this was me i would have been so angry i would find dirt out on Penelope just to free Gage from her grip.
The book moves in years and they are so far from the place in the first book its untrue. I found myself asking, why isn't she over him? why forgive him ? why even care? i asked this so many times and i screamed at Gage wishing he would just man the f**k up. Really how much did he have to do just to keep one little secret.
This book has to be the most emotional. I thought the ending seen in the first novel was bad enough but this book had me crying a few times in it. Loved the story and the ending and i cannot wait to see if there will be a book about Montanna. Although i am happy i get to read the third in the series about roy. He had me so intrigued about him, his past and just what makes him tick. Cannot wait. Look out for my review :) Shanora did an amazing job and also didn't find as many mistakes in the novel. Sentences ran together and made more sense. Whereas in the first novel i found some sentences didn't make much sense.
5*
