A reason to breathe By C.P.Smith

Love at first sight was never so dangerous.

Jack Gunnison has a problem, well, two actually, one is 5'5" and the other is a Killer.

Jennifer Stewart needs a change after losing her husband, and sending her daughter off to College.

Moving to the high country of Colorado to restart her life, and follow her dreams, Jenn gets more than she bargained for, when she attracts the eye of a killer.

Together, Jack and Jenn must figure out his identity, before he strikes again.
Read on for my review ...

A reason to breathe is C.P.Smith debut novel and having read it i can see this author going far.
This novel was by far one of the best novels i have read in a while. It had everything i love in a book. Being a huge Kristen Ashley fan it's hard to beat her kind of bad ass novel. A reason to breathe is high up there with that rating. Absolutely brilliant.

Jenn is funny, sassy, independent and just a general lovable character. I liked she was a mother and was an older woman. Jenn had a happy, lovable, caring relationship with her husband and when she died, i liked the fact she didn't die with him. She wasn't a character that needed saving emotionally, just physically. Also i liked how her relationship is with her daughter, it is just like how mine and my mom's is. Mother and Daughter that are more like best friends.
Jack is a typical Jack the lad, what he says goes, what he says is right and your always wrong and i loved it. His bossiness was funny because Jenn never listened. He frustration was hilarious to read.

Now onto the story that brought the two together. It begins with the killer telling us why he is killing the woman and it all has to do with Jenn. To help her move forward with her career in journalism. It was such a mystery to find out who the killer is, all through the book i changed it between the Mayor and The officer, i even had my guesses on Ben for a while but i am not going to ruin the mystery of who he or she is.
What i will say is it will have you gripping your seat, biting your nails and let me tell you this, it was a hard book to put down.
I finished it two days ago but because i was so busy, i haven't had time to post this review so everything i had to say i have forgotten but the gist is the book was 5* brilliant.
Hope everyone will go out and download this novel because it is one worth being read.
Well done C.P.Smith you did a brilliant Job :)

5*
