Firstly i want to start with my first thoughts. I really thought this book was going to be similar to another book i had read and didn't really like. So i downloaded sample and was only few chapters in before i stopped and brought the novel. From the beginning it was nothing like i thought it was going to be.
I have read so many dark and biker reads lately reading this was refreshing in a way. All though some parts of the book were dark, they just wasn't as dark as some i have read.
K.C.Lynn is going to big. I can tell from reading this novel she is going to go far. The book was absolutely brilliant. It had every think i love in a book. Alpha male, action, tears, hot sex, laughter, girl needing to be saved, but most of all the romance was a whirlwind. Literally, Jax doesn't tell her he loves her but we know his actions are doing the speaking for him. When he comes back to town to make amends with Julia, someone isn't happy about his return.
So when danger lurks around the corner Jax moves in. Only the danger stays pretty quite through the book as we get to know the main two characters as a couple. So it was a surprise when said danger pops up out the wood work and makes his play. I was literally gripping my phone, praying Jax got to her in time and there would be a happy ending.
The novel series is the beginning of something great. The characters are fantastic and hopefully we get to read more about them because i am hoping to find out about Grace and if she finally gives into Sawyer.
The novel ends all too soon and i am sad to say goodbye to the characters but the ending warmed my heart and i had tears in my eyes. There is something about a strong, alpha male, hard ass man been all gushy. I also enjoyed the humor to it.
My favorite part was the teasing from Kayla. Her hulk smash comments had me in hysterics.
So all in all i rated this novel 5* and i really hope to those who are reading this review take a chance on this debut novel. Its a fantastic read and i wish all the luck to K.C.Lynn on this novel and her coming novels in the future. I will be waiting to read more from this series. :)
