Hello~ (waves)
and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day
and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I
FINALLY felt it click. Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach
myself how to write. I can't blame my teachers for not teaching me all those
years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I
was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I
was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I'm hoping I got
it right since someone must be reading this profile! And I hope you keep
enjoying my future stories.
Lisa: I'm a massive fan of your work and its an honor to do this interview with you. So here we go. What Inspired you to write your first novel?
Tijan: I had a storyline in my head for most of my life and it got to the point where I had to get it out or I'd go crazy. Lol. I've never thought of myself as a writer, but I just started typing away and it clicked. I knew that's what I wanted to do since that moment.
Lisa: Okay, so like most Tijan fans I'm a huge fan of the Fallen crest series. I absolutely love the books so the next few questions will be based on the series. Do you any of the characters relate to your family or/and friends?
Tijan: Nope! Although I will admit that there's one character based off someone I know in real life. I didn't like her so....needless to say, I won't be admitting who the character is. lol. She's not liked in the series, but that's it.

Lisa: ohhhh, sounds interesting LOL!! How did you come up with the story line for Fallen Crest?
Tijan: I don't even remember. I think I just started outlining it and then started writing it. I had so much fun writing it because I posted it to my livejournal account back then so there were only a few followers.

Lisa: We are currently waiting on Fallen crest fourth down.... is there a release date yet?
Tijan: No date yet, but I did post on my author page that I'm HOPING to get it out by end of August.

Lisa: How many more books can we look forward to in the fallen crest series? and will Logan be getting his own book?
Tijan: Five total in the series (sorry to those who only wanted it to be three!) Then a stand-alone after the series and Nate MIGHT be getting a novella. That's all I can answer right now.

Lisa: If you could pick #TeamMason or #TeamLogan who would you choose?
Tijan: No answer here. Sorry!
Lisa: What project are you working on at the moment and can you give us an insight as to what it is?
Tijan: I'm trying to finish A WHOLE NEW CROWD! Then I will be finishing Fallen Fourth Down. I have a list of about twelve other books to write after that.

Lisa: What has been the best thing about being an author to you?
Tijan: Being able to do what I love and being paid for it. :) I feel that once you can financially support yourself off of your writing, right there is when you hit the jackpot for your dreams.

Lisa: You get some amazing reviews on your books, but whats it like to get a negative one?
Tijan: I get negative ones a lot! I also see the negative comments and posts too. It's hard. Some authors say they love it, but that's not me. However, I'm not going to make everyone happy. A lot of people can dissect something I've sacrificed sleep for, but as long as I wrote the book the way I wanted it to be, then it doesn't hurt as much then because it's a project that I love and I have to be proud of just that in itself. lol- Does that make sense?

Lisa: Can we expect anymore young adult series from you in the future?
Tijan: Yep!
Lisa: These next two questions are what fans have asked me to ask. Are you female or Male?
Tijan: Female.
Tijan: Female.
Tijan: Is Tijan your name or penname?
Tijan: Penname.
Tijan: Penname.
Lisa: Describe yourself in five words?
Tijan: Private. Funny. Laidback. Strong. Loner. (I asked my fiance for most of these.)

Lisa: Out of all your books which has meant the most to you?
Tijan: They all mean a great deal to me, but once I hit publish, I feel they aren't mine anymore so I feel some of my ownership goes away after that. So to answer this...I'm not sure. There's one I've yet to write that's still in my head and I feel it is special, but I won't tell anyone about it yet.

Lisa: Have you always wanted to become a writer? and did you ever expect to become this popular?
Tijan: No, I never thought I would be a writer. I didn't pay attention in school. My mind was on the topics that I thought I wanted to be, then in college I was told I was a bad writer. I will be honest, I don't feel I'm popular. I feel that I have a very loyal fanbase and I am so extremely grateful for them!!

Lisa: Last question now :( I ask this question in all of my interviews because sometimes we don't always get to express ourselves to our readers the way we want to. If you could say something to your readers what would you say?
Tijan: Just thank you! Always, always, thank you. I dedicate most of my books to my readers and I mean it. I love love love my readers and I really try to give back on my author page.

Well you can all agree that this was a fantastic interview. Tijan is a private person, so i'm hoping this little interview gives you a little insight to the person she is behind her penname. I've had fun reading the answers, hope you do to. :)
