Outside the lines: On the run novel By Lisa Desrochers

As the oldest son of a Chicago crime lord, Robert Delgado always knew how dangerous life could be. With his mother dead and his father in prison, he’s taking charge of his family’s safety—putting himself and his siblings in witness protection to hide out in a backwater Florida town.

Fourth grade teacher Adri Wilson is worried about the new boy in her class. Sherm is quiet and evasive, especially when he’s around his even cagier older brother. Adri can’t help her attraction to Rob, or the urge to help them both in whatever way she can.

But the Delgados have enemies on two sides of the mob—their father’s former crew and the rival family he helped take down. It’s only a matter of time before someone finds them. And if Rob isn’t careful, Adri could end up in the crossfire...

Rob, one of five takes it upon himself to keep his siblings safe. I want to say he's the oldest but I got confused with him and the eldest sister. I'm sure it said she was but I can't be sure. But because he's the eldest boy, the responsibility lies on him.

Anyway, they relocate in witness protection, and Sherm, the youngest of the Delgado is still at school. It's how Rob meets Adri, the school teacher, and daughter of the towns chief.

The two slowly but surely fall for each other, their lust for one another off the charts. There are some really hot scenes where the two finally end up together, hiding their relationship from everyone. Which confused me.

Anyhoowwwww,,,, the story was a little slow at times for me and I just wanted something to happen, anything. They were so dramatic about past incidents that it made me want to know more than was told.

It does end with a cliffhanger and I am looking forward to finding out what happens next for the family.
