Destroying beauty (Hell hounds MC) Celia Loren

Jo…
I’m only 25 years old, too young to have already been married and divorced—hard to believe it’s been a year since my piece of shit ex-husband left me, my soul broken, my bank account empty…at least his family’s lawyers let me keep my beat up old Corolla. Just when it seems like my life can’t get any worse, and my heart can’t possibly take another ounce of pain, fate comes crashing down on my head. The last thing I need is to get involved with another dangerous man…

The wrong place at the wrong time is an understatement. I just witnessed two men get shot in the face—for no reason—and I can’t go to the cops because they’re in on it. I’ve never been more scared in my life, I have no money to run away, no family that can help. I’m the sole witness to a double murder, and I’m all alone except for him…

Holt…
One of my psycho brothers just executed a member of a rival MC and an innocent shopkeep in plain sight, and didn’t even bother to check the place for witnesses. At least he was smart enough to grab the security tapes, problem is there was a smokin’ hot little thing huddled at the end of the aisle, and I’m sure she saw everything.

This girl may be the most beautiful woman I’ve ever laid eyes on, and her body…fuck me. But there’s one problem, she can bury me and my club, and I can’t let that happen. Women are a dime a dozen, and I’ll never let a good lay get between me and everything that I live for. So I’ll do what I do best—make her beg for it, make her need it…

And then I’ll put a bullet between her eyes.

This is the first Hell Hound novel I've read and although the story line was really good and exciting, the writing had me finding it hard to read it.
There was a lot of 'I' written into it, making it come across robotic and not a natural flow. Disappointing really. Errors, I can ignore, but the flow? Not so much.

I really liked both the characters. I did feel Jo was a little Naive when it come to her surroundings and a little too forgiving for my tastes. Where Holt is concerned, I think he should have explained things more to her. There is also a part at the end that I got a little pissed about. Holt gets put on probation when Fish, one of his MC's brothers tries to kill Holt and Jo. To me, the whole MC where in the wrong. They kept him knowing he was a loose cannon. I didn't understand why Holt got punished when Fish wasn't there to be punished and to me it was all his fault. I don't like it when they kill innocent people in MC books and it kind of puts me off them big time. With this novel though, I found it held a really exciting story line. I enjoyed it.

If it wasn't for the flow and errors I would have rated this higher, but as it stands I've rated it 2* in stead of 3.5*

Satan's Property (A satan's son MC) By Celia Loren

Betrayed by love, isolated and abused, sold as collateral to a rival MC…

Things were supposed to be different for Violet Avery. Her father was the president of the Devil’s Army Motorcycle Club, and she married the love of her life Rooster—one of the hottest bikers in the club.

When her father dies on a cartel run, Rooster suddenly turns into a ruthless monster, usurping the president’s chair, forcing the club into the drug trade, and condemning Violet to a life of misery and isolation.

As Rooster’s lust for power drives him deeper into madness, he offers Violet to a rival club, the Satan’s Sons MC—as collateral—to be their sexual slave and property until a deal goes through.

The Satan’s Sons live in abandoned insane asylum and are rumored to be sexual sadists, rapists, and ruthless murderers…One-Percenters who operate under no code of honor. Violet has no choice but to accept her fate as the property of the club.

Violet knows deep down that Rooster has no intention of the deal ever going through, he’ll leave her fate up to the Satan’s Sons. Her only hope lies in a sexy biker they call Drifter...

I came across this novel by accident as such when looking for an MC novel to read.
I read the reviews and because they were mixed, I thought, what the hell.
It's starts off kinda weird, like there should have been a book before it..(There isn't I checked) I just felt like I was missing something. Like there should be a book before hand.
The story begins with her explaining about her husband being a cheat, and a woman beater basically. He then takes her out for an anniversary dinner, where she is taken by another club as collateral.
The blurb makes this novel sound exciting, dark and inviting, but trust me, it's no where near what the blurb is describing. The blurb sounds more interesting than what the book actually is.

There were a few mistakes in the book and I don't just mean with spellings or incorrect sentences.
Round about page 180 Violet strips off naked in front of Drifter, but then he puts his hands down her panties..... think someone should have picked up on this.
There were a few things that stood out like this. Especially with the sex scenes, where it doesn't mention him putting a condom on, it just says he slides right into her, But then he's taking one off.
There are a few more, but it would have taken me most the day to type them all out LOL

This all said, I liked the story line and the MC brothers. It was one of those story's where you had to know what was happening and how it finished.

3*
