Give me Grace (Give me #3) By Kate McCarthy

Casey Daniels has a past forged in Hell. Despite the friends, the endless supply of women, and the muscle car he spent years restoring, it still eats away at him.

Grace Paterson is in Sydney as a temporary bassist for Jamieson, the band Casey handles security for. She’s also infuriating, off-limits, and completely irresistible.

A deal is struck, and despite their intense and powerful connection, both think it will be easy to walk away. But life can be more ruthless than either of them ever imagined. Not only does Grace have a secret she’s desperate to keep, Casey has questions from his past that he’s willing to do anything to get answers for.

It’s not until someone wants one of them dead that Casey realises his love for Grace is the one thing he could never walk away from.

In a story of revenge, betrayal, secrets, and love, Casey will need to reconcile his past with his present, before the future he never knew he wanted is snatched away.

Holy, hotness. This is the best book in the series. I fell in love with Casey straight away. He's mysterious, hot, broody, secretive, and just, well, Casey. I've loved his character from the very first mention of him.
You see, Casey is another character with a troubled past, but although he has an endless supply of women, a great job and brilliant friends, he can't put his past to bed. He even goes as far as sleeping with a woman who is in the line of work to get him the right information, the information that fits all the puzzle pieces together.

When Grace is picked up from the airport, by Casey himself, the two, well, they literally hit it off. LOL
They argue back and forth, both riling up the other in order to get a rise.

But when the lust becomes to much for both Casey and Grace, Grace strikes up a deal, one that will keep both their hearts from breaking. Only, she couldn't predict Casey already having it in the palm of his hands.

When both of their lives are threatened, Casey wonders what Grace is hiding, because he's known from the beginning she's been keeping something from him. Before he knows it, he's in love and his love for her is much stronger than him getting the answers from his past.

This is where the story gets exciting. Kate is very vague throughout the book on what is going on, what the secrets are and who is who. I kind of guessed Grace's near the beginning, but it literally was a long shot when I guessed and I guessed right. But when it comes to Casey's situation it will have you on edge the whole way through, right down to the last page. I had to read this is one sitting, there was no way I was putting it down. It was freaking brilliant and I hope to God, Kate gives us more from a certain character who shall remain a secret a novel of their own. I absolutely loved him.

I cried, I laughed, I gasped and nearly blooding died over the twist and turns in the book. I promise it's not one to miss.

Give me Strength (Give me #2) By Kate McCarthy

Quinn Salisbury doesn’t think she’s cut out for this whole living thing. Even as a young girl she struggled. Just when she thinks she’s found a way to leave her violent past behind her, the only thing that’s kept her going is ripped away, leaving her damaged and heartbroken.

Four years later, she is slowly rebuilding her life and lands a job as an assistant band manager to Jamieson, the hot new Australian act climbing their way to the top of the charts. There she meets Travis Valentine, the charismatic older brother of her boss, Mac.

From his commanding charm to his confidence and passion, Travis is everything Quinn believes is too good for her, and despite her apprehension, she finds their attraction undeniable and intense.

When her past resurfaces, it complicates their relationship. Instead of reaching out for help, Quinn pushes Travis away, until a staggering secret is revealed that leaves her fighting for her very life.

Torn between running and opening her heart to the man determined to have her, can Quinn find the strength within herself to fight for her future?

This story is heartbreaking. Quinn has led such a hard life. She was brought up in a violent way, her mother not much of a mother at all. Just when she thinks she's found true happiness, it's gone in an instant, but even then, life gives her something live for, only to have that taken away in a second.

You can see why Quinn is so hasty to let anyone in. She hasn't felt apart of anything other than friends with her crazy neighbor and best friend.
After four years of grieving, of trying to move forward, Quinn finally gets a job with Jamieson.
The night before the interview, her crazy best friend drags her out to have some fun. Quinn, not used to what that is finds the whole things terrifying. When she finally finds the courage to walk up to the bar, to live a little, she meets Travis, Mac's brother.
The two spend a night together, and expecting never to see him again, Quinn sneaks out in the morning, heading off to her interview. There is where things get complicated for Travis and Quinn.

When Quinn's nightmare past returns she can do nothing but run, but running doesn't get her far when Travis is involved. Vowing to protect her he and the Jamieson band take her in.

The story is one of the best I've read in a long while. Especially as I had never read from this author before the previous book in the series. I have to say, she is very talented and can't wait to read more from her.
The whole book is full of anticipation, not knowing what will happen next. Defo one to read. Especially if you love an alpha male who takes charge.

Give me Love (Give me #1) By Kate McCarthy

Evie Jamieson, a former wild child, is not only a headstrong, smart-mouthed trouble magnet, she is also a lead singer with a plan. That plan involves uprooting her band, including her two best friends guitarist Henry and band manager Mac, to Sydney to kick off their dreams of hitting the big time.

Jared Valentine is the older brother of Evie's best friend Mac and also the man determined to make Evie his. They strike up a long distance friendship which suits Evie because she's determined to avoid the distraction of love, not only because it doesn't fit in with her plan, but because twice in the past it has left her for dead. Moving to Sydney, however, has put her directly in Jared's path and he has decided it's the perfect opportunity to make his play.

Unfortunately Jared, co-owner in a business that 'consults' in dangerous hostage and kidnapping situations, makes an enemy who's determined to enact revenge. When his enemy puts Evie in his sights, Jared not only has a fight on his hands to make her his own, but also to keep her alive.

Is accepting the love he's so desperate to give worth the risk to both her heart, and her life?

Evie Jamieson is a rock chick, a wild child and is finally getting her band somewhere. In order to this she has to move to Sydney, the place where Jared, Mac's older brother lives.
The two texted each other over the years, Evie not able to be around him without becoming a blistering mess. She's basically had a crush on him since the very first moment she saw him.
But Evie has a plan, only date geeks. She wants to avoid the distraction of love, but she also doesn't want her past to catch up with her. Evie's last to boyfriends had both left her for dead.
Jared is also partner with her brother in a firm that consults in dangerous hostage situations and kidnapping.
When a hostage take down goes wrong, an enemy uses Evie to get his revenge.

I got into the story pretty much right away. I loved it and the characters. All of them. They were funny to read about.

Even Evie trying to push Jared away was funny, and it doesn't work, he's determined to make her his and my God, does he.
It also gives us a little insight to the other characters in the book which I loved. The group are a tight nit family and although living in each other's shoes, working together, they all have this incredible bond. It was brilliant story to read.
