Tangled in Tinsel By Stacey Eaton

Casey Lowe is new in town and hiding from her past. Her next-door neighbor, Thad Wagner, is a sexy police officer, who is good with his hands, and his lips, but Casey refuses to get involved with a married man, and Thad can't seem to understand why she keeps pushing him away. No matter how they try to stay apart, something keeps drawing them together. When an unexpected visitor shows up at Casey's house the week before Christmas, her future is on the line. Will Thad figure it out in time to save her, or will Casey become a conspirator to a murderer?

Casey moves to town after her old life turns upside down. She buys a run down house, wanting to build it up.
She runs into her sexy next door neighbor and is instantly attracted to him. But she refuses to be involved with a married man. Although it doesn't stop her checking him out or snogging the face off him.
It doesn't matter what Casey does though to push him away, to tell him it can never happen, something out there keeps forcing them together.

Just as things are cleared between the two Casey has an unexpected visitor from her past. The story line builds up to this funny, christmas romantic novel, but it's so much more and Stacey fits all that in, in a novella.

I loved the book and the outsider characters. The little boy who sees Casey naked on more than one occasion had me crying. He always said it was disgusting. Poor boy!!!

The only thing that niggled me was the constant winking. He would mention something as plain as changing the plaster and he'd wink. He was going home, he'd wink. Well, you get the picture. The winking really did get on my nerves. It weren't just him though, it seemed every male in their little town had an eye twitch LOL
