Into the deep (The into series Book one) By T.A.McKay

Life is never easy.

Makenzie Pierce knows this better than anyone.

After losing everything that was important to her, her fiancĂ©, job and home, she is about to start her life all over again from nothing. One morning, a chance encounter seems to be changing her luck and at first it seems for the better … but is it?

Rocco Cole also knows only too well how hard life can be. After suffering a tragic accident, one which almost stole his life, his world imploded into a mess of both abuse and pain, leaving him nothing but a deeply broken man.
Vowing to never trust or ever love again, could it really be possible for him to let someone in after only one meeting? Can a simple encounter change everything he ever believed about himself?

Makenzie is drawn to the chemistry between herself and Rocco, but as he continues to pull away from her, without any reason, she has to decide whether he is worth fighting for. Is she the one woman that can make him believe that he is worth something to someone? And can she be that someone?
When she finally uncovers the truth, Mackenzie has to decide if she is the one who can help change the demons that live inside the man that she thinks she can so easily fall in love with.

Life is never easy, but sometimes the things you really want and need can be worth fighting for, even when you have to take a huge leap of faith and follow your heart, Into The Deep.

Into the deep is a love story between to broken people.

Mckenzie has just been cheated on, lost her job and home when she moves to her new one bedroom apartment. Her life is a complete shambles.
Looking for a job she ends up being a receptionist at a local gym/swimming pool, one which she is completely over qualified for.

Rocco, is a swimmer and meets McKenzie one morning on his way to the swimming pool. They hit it off right away.

When they both end up going on a date something stops Rocco from taking his relationship with McKenzie further. I'm not going to go into details, but Rocco has also been cheated on from his ex and was also emotionally amused by her. Now, as much as this pains me, this is where I got a little confused with the story and kind of not sure about Rocco. With his fine build and Alpha male ways and tattooed body, he's a walking add for a strong, independent man. But it seems Rocco has more of a sensitive side than we realize during the book. We only get to meet his B.I.T.C.H of an ex once during the book which is a shame. I felt the relationship between the two happened too quickly for it to end the way it did. There needed to be more angst, more drama in the middle with her or his ex's. Cause, let's face it, they both were completely nuts.

All in I rate the novel a 3* as I loved how the story was written, it's just a simple, sweet, adoring love story.
