After traveling around the world for six years, both running from her past and seeking her future, Edie Yates is back in Greenville, Arizona to reconnect with her older sister, Melanie. While Edie was away, Melanie married Brick Baxter, president of the Marauder Riders MC, and found a real family, the likes of which neither Melanie nor Edie had ever known. Now Melanie wants Edie to know the love and security of that family.
And she does. In the Marauders, Edie finds brothers, nieces and nephews, even a surrogate father or two. She begins to settle in, though she still struggles with her past.
And she finds Dawg, who earns his road name regularly. He loves women, and they love him. Edie knows he’s bad news, and she tells him she’s not interested. But he’s funny and charming, and she enjoys his company.
Dawg knows he isn’t boyfriend material. He doesn’t want to be boyfriend material. He likes being a dawg. And he’s far too smart to hit on his president’s sister-in-law. But she’s interesting. She’s had a life, been everywhere. He enjoys talking with her. When she makes it clear that she’s not interested, and he makes it clear that he’s not stupid, they begin to forge a friendship.
They become close—real friends.
And then everything explodes.

I liked how real and genuine the book come across. Like the whole biker club selling pot, owning strip clubs etc. The only thing i couldn't phantom was the whole killing the stripper. She co-operated and gave them what they wanted and they still ended her life for a decision she had no control over really.
I found it so confusing though that the book changed from different characters point of views and i got lost most the time.
I really enjoyed the book at the beginning and found the characters realistic and genuinely interesting. The only down fall was the story plot as a whole, i found it didn't seem to keep my interest and although it wasn't the main part of the book the whole drama of it should have made the book more interesting to read and it really didn't.
Edie the main character in the novel i really liked and felt deeply sorry for her when you finally do get to know the full extent of her childhood and back ground story.
Dawg now he is another story. The description said he was funny, charming and a man whore. The only thing i found they got correct was the man whore part. Yes he could flirt but what good looking man can't but where as charming Edie or other woman i didn't really see or get a feel for it. As for been the clown and the funny one of the group i never really laughed during the novel. Only a few things would make me smile and only once over the food product lasagna did i laugh.
rated 3* as it wasn't the best biker book i read. I found it missed so much out.
