All Rhiannon Blake wanted was to find her little sister, Mickey. The last thing she expected when she walked into the seedy biker bar was to be assaulted. Luckily, Dax Jamison, the tall, muscled, vice president of The Phantoms motorcycle crew rescues her. At first, Rhiannon is more than a little afraid of the sexy, tattooed biker. He's arrogant, domineering, and dangerous. Then, a slow fire begins to burn between them, culminating in a fiery explosion of sex, drugs, and passion.
When her apartment is ransacked, Dax insists that The Phantoms provide protection for Rhiannon until he can figure out why she is being targeted by a rival crew. Then, when an escaped drug cartel boss joins the mix, things start to get even more complicated. Loosely inspired by the hit television show, Sons of Anarchy, this work combines a strong plot with a scorching tale of danger, intrigue and romance.
Read on for my review....
The story starts off pretty quickly with Reeh searching for her sister Micky. When she is attacked my the gang members that her sister were involved with she ends up been in the safety of Dex.
He was so sweet and attentive towards her, i felt myself say awww out loud a few times.
I love my MC novels and this is another that has hit the top mark. It unique in a way because usually and MC novel is based around the MC and there ins and outs as a club. Although this novel still works within the MC, it is more about Reeh and her sister and also the love affair coming between her and Dex. Only Dex has a girlfriend and decides to stay away from the beautiful Reeh. Only he doesn't last long and although feelings grown between the two, they are never expressed.
I don't agree with cheating and i will never get my head around why anyone would do it. I know Dex tried fighting his urges towards Reeh but in the end his urges won out and Trisha never crossed his mind. That said i found it frustrating her couldn't leave her knowing the spark between him and Reeh is much stronger then what he and Trisha had ever been. I wish he would have just left her and give himself and Reeh what they both wanted. Each other.
That said i am glad it didn't end with a happily ever after because i wasn't ready to give the characters up. I tried so hard to stay awake to read it but everyone needs there sleep. Right ? well i spent the last hour finishing the novel and i am so beyond excited for the next one. Which i am currently a few chapters in.
The story line is amazing and so were the characters.
Now what kind of honest reviewer would i be if i didn't warn you about the flaws. The author seriously needs to get a new editor because the spelling mistakes and some grammar errors were really bad. It seemed to get worse through the middle of the book. so i would advise people to try hard not to fault the actual book on that level. The story is what counts. It did mess with my rating and the book only rated 4* when, of the novel was correctly written it would have been a 5* hands down.
Enjoy read :)
