#Swag (GarkShark #3) By Cambria Hebert

These drivers got #swag...

Racing is in her DNA.
Right alongside money and power.
When you're the daughter of one of the most powerful men in the country,
you have to work harder for success.
Joey Gamble's a girl on a male-dominated track.
With a daddy who can buy whatever she wants.
But she doesn't want anything... except to EARN her reputation.

Racing is his passion.
Trouble follows him everywhere. Some even say he invites it.
When you're nipping at the taillights of the best driver in the new NRR,
you have to fight and claw for each and every success.
It's never been easy for Lorhaven.
That's why he doesn't play by the rules.
He's a man with a serious chip on his shoulder against the pro racing circuit.
We at GearShark want to know what's up with that.

We've also been hearing rumblings...
of a pro who wants to go indie.

We've invited racing royalty and the driver from the wrong side of the tracks to sit down and talk to us about a possible crossover.
We expected sparks to fly when Joey and Lorhaven crossed paths.
Will those sparks ignite into a full-on inferno?

Okay, for some reason, my review isn't on here so I thought I'd update my blog, and write a new one.

I can honestly say, as much as I love Drew and Trent, this was one of the best books of the Gear Shark series.
Holy hell was it hot and steamy.
Lorhaven and Joey have to do a photoshoot together and my God, did it get hot. Loved that part.

But more than that, Joey is part of Hazing, and it's forbidden within the circuit, so when she decides to leave the pro division to go Indie, it pisses off her other team mates even more and causes more tension. But, Joey is a fighter. She has a backbone and even though they've put her through shit, she moves forward with her head held high. It doesn't hurt she's also got Lorhaven, Arrow, Drew and Trent at her back, supporting her.

Lorhaven isn't as hard as he makes out in the other books. He's actually a darlin. I loved his character and loved watching him progress as a character throughout the book. Cambria has a way of bringing a group together and making them family.

One of the best books in the series. Loved it. Hope we get to see more of these two in the future.

Blur (The GearSahrk Series #4) By Cambria Hebert

Nothing but a #blur…
There’s a new kid in town, and he’s hell on wheels.
From what we’ve heard, it may be because
he knows exactly what hell’s like.
Lonely.
Scorching.
Unforgiving.
You may know his brother, the NRR hotshot
(and former GearShark cover model)
Lorhaven.
It’s only natural a driver with his background and family connections
has sped his racecar into the newest, hottest division.
But that’s not all.
Arrow may be following in big bro’s tread marks,
but he doesn’t plan to stay there.
He’s swerving onto the road less traveled…
and a lot more controversial.
He’s opening up about his private struggles with sexuality
to tell a story that’s gone unheard until now.
One thing’s for sure; Arrow may have a painful past,
but his foot is heavy on the accelerator.
With speed like this, he’s bound to leave everything behind in
nothing but a #blur.
Check out the full feature article inside…

This story...

I've loved Arrow's character from the first gearshark book. He seemed like such a lost soul just looking for someone other than his brother to connect with. I just wanted to protect him and cuddle him.
Yes he becomes friends with Drew and Trent, forming relationships with them and their friends as well as Lorhaven's GF, but deep down, you can tell he wanted more.

I knew he had a rough past from Lorhaven's book, but how bad it was is confirmed in Blur. He's gone through so much and all because he likes men. It's not fair. Anyone should be able to love anyone, no matter the gender or race. It breaks my heart when I see people not accepted for who they are.

But then Hopper comes into his life, someone who is just as broken on the inside as he is and together, they mend each other's pieces.

I honestly couldn't put the book down. It did drag in places and I felt there was more explaining then there was interaction between characters. I felt like I was reading a diary of some sorts. But even still, Cambria is an amazing writer and has done a superb job at writing such an emotional, heartwarming story.

#Bae (Hashtag series 8) By Cambria Hebert

Image result for bae cambria hebert

Happily-ever-after.
That's what happens when you get married.
Right?
Turns out sparkly rings, cake and a fantastic wedding do not automatically grant you that, not even when it's all you truly want.
I'm even starting to doubt the bottomless, unconditional love I share with the man I married will be enough.
I can't have happily ever after, know why?
Because I can't give Romeo what he truly wants. I've tried. So hard. I won't be happy unless he is and something is missing. Someone.
Paparazzi are in my face. The flashing cameras and prying eyes are everywhere. My secret is getting harder to hide, and I know the second the scoop is dished the grip I have on the fraying rope of that happily ever after will snap right in my face.
In our face.
I can't let that happen. No matter what.
Because with or without a happy ending, Romeo comes Before Anyone Else.

Holy Hell!!!!

What a great way to end a series. I loved it.
I don't want to get into the story since it will ruin a lot for you as a reader.
I do recommend you read this series in order. That way you'll get to know the characters from the beginning.

I've enjoyed this series so much. I've loved it, got hooked to it and feel like the characters have become my own family. Cambria did a fantastic job with this book, with the whole series. This is one series I'll always recommend. It's one everyone is guaranteed to fall in love with.

Rev (Gearshark Book Two) By Cambria Hebert

Trent Mask puts the REV in revolution.
A line has been drawn.
Indie vs Pro
Here at GearShark, we’re straddling that line to bring you exclusive coverage of what some have dubbed the war of racing.
Every war starts with a spark and ends in revolution.
Drew Forrester was the spark,
but his second-in-command is the REVolution.
What does it take to stand brave in the face of opposition?
Resolve of steel…
Stubborn will…
And a heart that refuses to give up.
It isn’t just the drivers in this war.
The revolution is about more than just racing.
It’s about shattering labels and taking risks.
So we asked Trent Mask: Truth or Dare?
His answer?
Both.

So, as you know I'm a HUGE fan of the HASHTAG series, and GEARSHARK, but I have to say, I'm feeling a little let down by Rev.

Trent and Drew have this strong bond, this tight connection, and want to know how strong? Read this book. It tells you the same thing over and over and over but in different words. It got so boring I found myself scanning through most the book. I'm pretty sure 80% of it was them explaining how they felt for the other. I don't think Cambria needed to go this far in explaining it. Her writing is exceptional so we SEE it in the characters and in their actions.

What I loved about the book? Is that Drew doesn't give up on Trent. He doesn't let him push him away and I loved that about him, about their love for each other.
The other thing Cambria concentrates on is society's view on two men being in a relationship. We already know their close friends reactions, but what about the other people out there. Not everyone is going to be as understanding.
It goes through the progress of them finding the strength in telling people, telling their family. It proved who were truly their friends, truly their team, and who they could trust. It was so beautiful to see the people stand behind them and heartbreaking when some turned against them.
I think Cambria hit this topic head on and wrote it beautifully. I honestly hope those bigits out there in the world understand the struggles that gay people go through everyday and not just coming out. I have to say, what Drew and Trent did and the way they did it was so brave.

The only thing I wish we could have had more of is the frat scenes. I wanted more from them. We was left with such a massive cliffhanger in the last one, I just expected a little more.
I also can say I love how they were handled. I actually laughed at a few scenes.

3* and this is only because it took me so long to get into because of the constant repeating of how much they were into each other. It seemed to drag on a little too much for me.

#Junkie (GearShark #1) By Cambria Hebert

Drew Forrester is a total adrenaline junkie.
His high of choice?
Cars.
The faster, the better.
He's been making waves in Maryland's underground racing circuit since he crossed the state line, and after speaking with him, we know he's not hitting the brakes anytime soon.
So what exactly does it take to burn rubber and make a name for yourself in a world where the only rule is there are no rules?
You gotta be hungry...
You gotta have balls...
And you can never back down.
What've we learned here at GearShark?
Drew is all of the above.
We also know he's got some secrets buried under his hood.
Secrets we think are loaded with octane and just might set the world of cars on fire.

Holy crap!!!!!!

I love this book.
I've only ever read one other M/M romance that I've got in to, and thought, WOW, this isn't cheesy. I hate it when people label things. In this book Cambria doesn't. The two don't even lose who they are. Even during romantic scenes, they're still fooling around like two best friends.
Loved it.

But it was more than that. The connection they have is strong. We see it in the HASHTAG series. The way Drew would look at Trent, or vice versa.
I have high hopes for the two. They've got a lot to go through, the main one coming out. What will their friends say? Romeo? Sister? Family? They don't know, but we all know they have nothing to worry about.

But it's the outside world they need to worry about. They're not accepting. Especially to Trent who is president of the frat house he's in.
They don't come clean about their relationship to anyone, I mean, they've only just started one, but a few of Trent's brothers presume and they aren't nice about it.
Poor Trent deals with it on his own, just like he has done with his feelings for Drew for as long as he has known him. What happens literally made my stomach roll. I really wanted to punch someone for hurting him the way they did.
With Drew becoming a star in the underground street circuit, Trent believes ending their relationship and keeping it to themselves will benefit Drew. That it will protect him from the ugly that Trent has had to deal with. It was heartbreaking.

I'm excited for the second book in the series. It doesn't leave us with a HEA, and I can see Drew having to fight for Trent and they're relationship in the future.

5* And number 2 on my fav M/M romance.

#Holiday (Hashtag series Novella) By Cambria Hebert

Givers gonna give…
Twas the night of game day,
And all through the town,
Lacey glittering snowflakes fluttered around.
They clung to the roads, concealing everything with white.
It was a beautiful #holiday sight.
The paparazzi were out without any care,
In hopes to catch Romeo and Rimmel, rumored to be there.
When out on the road there arose such a clatter.
The Hellcat spun out, but it shouldn’t matter.
I pulled out my cell to dial in a flash.
But the battery was dead. What useless trash.
The moonlight glistening on the new fallen snow
Made us forget we needed a tow.
For the season was upon us. Our family was alight.
Our #holiday was destined to be merry and bright.

Just a small review as the book is a novella and there isn't really a story. It's showing the characters all together for christmas.
I loved the light fun read and I'm glad I brought it. It was nice reading more of the characters. It also gives you another clue about Trent and Drew's relationship.

#Heart (Hashtag Series Book Six) By Cambria Hebert

Lovers Gonna Love…
Family isn’t always defined by blood.
Sometimes family is born of love…
Loyalty…
And choice.
Sometimes the bond that comes from someone having your back through the shittiest of times is stronger than anything you get from genetics.
And sometimes you find that piece of your soul you didn’t even know was missing.
I’m a lucky guy like that.
I found a love that will never fade. I found a group of people who aren’t just my friends.
They’ve become my family.
There’s only one place to go from here.
I’m gonna bind myself to Rimmel in every possible way.
I’m gonna bring our family even closer together.
The past has taught me it won’t be easy.
Especially when faced with repercussions from a night that ended in death.
But that’s okay.
Family doesn’t quit each other.
Love like ours never dies.
Happily ever after isn’t just for storybooks.

Heart is written in everyone's POV. It switches throughout the book and I'm so glad it did. It made what was going on that more exciting. We got to read it from everyone's POV, seeing how they reacted, and how they felt.

With Zach's death you'd think the made family would be able to move on, to be free, but Zach's dad is out for revenge. He wants justice. He wants Braedon and Ivy to go to prison for his sons death.

Did Braedon kill Zach? I don't think I would have gone to the car and moved away from Ivy if I had been Braedon. But he did. Yeah, maybe he could have gotten Zach out of the car, but at what cost? The car exploded seconds after.

The book reveals more and the family's bond is proven on more than one occasion during the book. They all stick by Braedon when he's accused and all deal with it in the only way they know how. TOGETHER.
The bond these group of people have is something to cherish. They're more like family than most blood related families out there.
They not only support each other, accept each other for who they are, but they stick by each other through the good and bad. No matter what happened.
It didn't surprise me Romeo took charge and Ivy fought for her man. He was beginning to lose himself, riddled with guilt with what happened that night. But he didn't regret anything. He still would have done the same. It was all a mess for Braedon.

When a party is thrown for Rimmel and Romeo, some more news comes to blow between Ivy and Braedon that will have you gasping.
This book was a brilliant way to finish the series. I'm really going to miss these characters and their stories. I wish there was more.
Because of how well written the stories are, you feel everything, like it's a part of your life. I feel like a part of me is missing with this series ending. It's not the last we've heard from Drew and Trent, so I'm glad we'll still have their stories to look forward to.

Meanwhile, if you haven't read the hashtag series, make sure you do. It's one of the best series you'll ever read. It's topped every new adult book for me.

#Posers (Hashtag Series Book Five) By Cambria Hebert

Posers gonna pose
I am a man who had nothing, but found everything.
I’ll never go back to nothing ever again.
I vowed to protect her, and that’s exactly what I’m gonna do.
The pictures I stumbled upon haunt me still, the secret I shoulder is heavy.
They say secrets put distance between two people, but the truth is far more destructive than keeping it will ever be.
I won’t ever tell. She can’t ever know.
When I look in the mirror my reflection is of who I’m afraid I’ll become and not the man I am.
It makes me feel like a poser, no better than all the others pretending to be exactly who they aren’t.
How does a man keep it together when everything is unraveling right here in his hands?
I didn’t start any of this.
I never asked for it.
But it came knocking at my door.
When secrets and threats knock, I don’t hide.
I open the door.
Because the best way to take down a poser is to be one.

Holy crap this book had everything you could wish for.
No one has forgotten the torment Zach has caused their family, but everyone but Ivy is moving on.

Her relationship with Braedon becomes strained, but it's only because he discovered what really happened the night Ivy shared with Zach.
It really broke my heart.
And then we have her so called best friend keeping it from her. Letting her believe she had slept with him on her own free will when it wasn't. My God, my hatred for Missy just intensified. I didn't like her in the other books. She just wasn't my favourite character, but when it was revealed who she was, I disliked her more.

Everything comes to blow when Zach reappears. Although we read some in his POV, I still couldn't understand his hatred towards everyone. What happened to him was awful, but it could have been worse.
Anywhooooo, when Missy teams up with Zach, the psycho doesn't know what she has gotten herself into.

I was literally on the edge of my seat throughout the book wondering what the hell was going to happen next. I never put this one down. I even ate holding my damn kindle. I didn't want to miss a single word.
We also get to meet Drew, Ivy's brother. He comes to check in on his sister when he finds out she's moved in with two men and a friend.

Romeo bought a house off-campus so that they could all move forward from last semester. With the picture Buzz Boss posted, Ivy hadn't had a good time. So when Romeo offered her and Braedon a room, they took it.
Drew takes an instant bromance with Trent, the newest addition to the family. He's usually a character that's in the background, but always there, but with Drew in the scene he becomes another family member.

Is there more going on between them???? Find out in Junkie which is now LIVE. Had to add this into the review because it was during this book that I wanted them together. Their friendship was quick and it was adorable.

Anywayyyyyy, back to the story. I really enjoyed this one. This has to be the best one for me. I was also glad what happened with Zach is out in the open. I think Braedon was wrong in his decision to keep it from Ivy, but then, I wasn't in his position.

5* And would honestly recommend this series to anyone. They've become such a huge part of my life now, I'm going to miss them when the series ends.

#Selfie (Hashtag series Book Four) By Cambria Hebert

It's all about the #Selfie.
She was the one girl I never wanted.

Until I had her.

One night.

One mistake.

Something we both wanted to forget.

I got rid of the proof. The one piece of evidence that could remind us both.

At least, I thought I did.

When it shows up on the school Buzzfeed, rumors fly. Friendships are tested and the feels get real.

I don't do relationships. I don't open my heart.

Especially for a girl everyone knows I hate.

What happens during spring break stays in spring break.

Until it follows you home.

First, I want to comment on the cover. Anyone else think this is the perfect cover for our cocky, charming Braedon? I do.

Ivy having nightmares of her own and dealing something and keeping it to herself is holding on by a thread. She believes she spent the night with Zach because she was drunk and out of control. What she didn't know was that there was more to it.
Not even having read this book I knew Ivy wouldn't sleep with Zach willingly. He was not only a p.r.i.c.k to Rimmel and Romeo, but he was also a sleeze. He gave everyone the creeps.

Needing the break, Ivy agrees to go meet up with Romeo and Rimmel and spend the rest of their summer break with them at the beach. Braedon and Trent also go along with Missy.

Braedon and Ivy spend a night together neither can forget. But Ivy is riddled with guilt. For not only everything that happened with Zach and her part in it, but because her best friend Missy is still in love with the playboy.

When #BuzzBoss reveals the picture of Ivy and Zach's night together, Braedon shows us a side of him we haven't seen. He went beyond ballistic, punching car windows, and saying some harsh words to Ivy herself.
I've never felt so gutted for a couple in all my life. You could tell they had come to mean a lot to each other. But with nightmares still plaguing Ivy about her night with Zach, she never spoke with anyone about it. Her brief talk with Rimmel showed what a true friend she really was. She knew Ivy would never do anything to intentionally hurt her.
This news also brought Ivy and Romeo closer together. He also saw a side to Ivy that wasn't his first impression of the girl.

Anyway, when Braedon discovers who #BuzzBoss is, that's when things start to become interesting.
He then has to hold onto a secret that gives him nightmares, day and night.

5*

PS These two are my favourite couple. Love them as much as Rim and Rome.

#Player (Hashtag Series Book Three) By Cambria Hebert

Players gotta play.
Hate is like a poison. It contaminates everything.

So does doubt.

Even though I deny what I overheard, even though I insist it isn't true, the seed of doubt has been planted. I can't help but be tormented with the endless what-if's that have taken over our lives.

Romeo and I were happy in love. The future stretched before us brighter than any star in the darkest sky. Now everything is broken. Literally broken. Romeo's entire career is at stake, my entire future is threatened... and my past?

It's coming back to haunt me.

To haunt us.

Romeo says we're in this together and right now the only sure thing is us. But how far can a love so new be pushed? The lengths we will have to go to save each other puts everything at risk.

Romeo is a #player but how much of the game can one person play?

Romeo's love for Rimmel is once again proven during Player. He turns his back on his mother, hating what she has done to Rimmel. She didn't talk to him first, or check facts, she just blurted it out destroying everything she ever believed in.

With Romeo's career on the line thanks to Zach breaking his arm, the two take the time during his recovery to go get some answers.

Rimmel's mom died when she was little. Rimmel had always believed her mom had drown in their pool, but with Romeo's moms news, it all comes back to haunt her.

They both head to her dads to get these answers, but Rimmel doesn't like what she finds.
with a new threat lurking behind the scenes things are about to get messy. Romeo steps in once again, ready to put Rimmels safety and her life before his own. It's so fucking romantic you can't help but fall more in love with Romeo. You'd want that love. Crave it, once you've read this books.

I loved this book as much as the others and I honestly felt gutted this was going to be the end of their own books. But then I found out, our very own Braedon, had his own book next.

So you know what I did when I put this beauty down, I ONE CLICKED the next one.
