Into the deep By Samantha Young

Into The Deep

Charley was an ordinary girl until Jake turned up into her small town and showed her she was extraordinary.
As the couple fall deeper in love its all blown up when something tragic incident causes Jake's world to turn dark. Leaving Charley behind.

When Charley takes a year out to finish her college abroad, she didn't realize Jake would be there, But hes not alone.
Relationships are tested, and they both struggle to come to terms with what they mean to each other.
Can Charley trust Jake again ? .......
I really got into this book pretty quick.

The love they develop with each other is moving, it makes that book that much more.

I loved Charley, she didn't care about social status and she certainly didn't care when she spoke her mind. she was funny, out-going, and ass Samantha Young wrote ''smart ass''. All this made the character more interesting, more beautiful, and down to earth.

When i was first told to read the book i was unsure whether i wanted t read about two sixteen year old's falling in love, but Samantha made it work. She made the young adolescence into young adults. They were mature for their age. Waiting each time in the relationship to make their next move.

The flash backs in the story confused me at first as i never really saw when it came to the chapter it went back in time. It went through out the book and i have to say, yes it really was annoying to have to keep going back. I felt like i was reading to different stories. I also found it made the book more intriguing as i was constantly trying to guess what could have been so bad for them to break up. So in that sense i thought it was a great idea.

One bad boy with a bad rep, yet i found him a good boy with hormones. There was nothing really bad about him.
I had a love hate relationship with Jake. Charley didn't deserve his heartbreak but then i could see why he kind of blamed her, as she did push to go to the party.
The one thing that i really found me cursing at was when they are back together towards the end and Melissa comes into the bar and Jake leaves with her telling Charley he would be five minutes.
Then he doesn't return until two in the morning. If this was me i would have gone mad. I would have screamed about how he left her with no explanation, yet he already explained to Melissa a few times that it was over. Hell, i would be so mad at him. How, he could love someone as much as he says he does and leave her like she was nothing but turn to Melissa with an explanation, that left him there with her for so long, and not the five minutes he said.
He was selfish, i understand when he broke up with Charley it was different but he left her there for what four years ? and yet two months breaking up with Melissa, who he saw round campus and still managed to keep putting her first.

Have to admit this book really did conflict me, yet throughout the book i was rooting for Charley and Jake, i just couldn't help it. They were soul mates.

I also loved Claudia, her best friend and Beck, Jake's best friend's relationship and really hope Samantha does a book about them. I thought their relationship was getting interesting, so i wanted to know more.

I have finished the book and can i did really like it. I gave it a 4* as i felt the book ended when it finally gotten started. so i was glad to hear the next novel is due.

Samantha Young Out of the Shallows will be released January 31st 2014
