Finding out #2.5 Hawks MC by Lila Rose

In a moment of weakness, Ivy Morrison tells a lie, a lie which will leave her scrambling for a solution and quick. The perfect solution comes well-packaged in the form of broody and sinfully sexy Fox Kilpatrick, courtesy of Find Your Soul Mate online dating service. Desperate times is most definitely a call for desperate measures. With no other choice, Ivy convinces passionate yet possessive Fox to help her in her time of need.

Fox 'Killer' Kilpatrick is still caught up in his past, a past of anger and death, which his biker brothers desperately want him to recover from. Losing a bet, Killer finds himself on a blind date with Ivy, the woman who is set to turn his world upside down.

Following your heart is never easy, neither is following an unknown path, but finding out may just be worth the journey to possibility. Only together, will Ivy and Killer discover if it was worth the risk after all.

Gah, holy hell.
I am going to try to take my time writing this review so I don't misspell anything LOL, oh who am I kidding? I'm going to rant until I probably spell my own name wrong.

Firstly, I just want to point out that I HATE novella's. I never feel they're enough in a novella to be classed as a story or for someone to really write a review. I never get a grasp.
Finding out had me doing a one 80. I couldn't put the bloody thing down. It was perfect. It hadn't been rushed, or cramped into it, it was written out beautifully. It honestly felt like I had read a full novel with what had happened in it. Nothing felt rushed, over done, or I felt like I was missing something. I didn't want it to end, but then I got so much from such a short book. It says on Amazon it's only 77 pages, but I can honestly tell you it felt like more to me. I really got to experience it like I had read a full novel.

I loved Ivy....
Loved her attitude, her friendships and the way she acts around hot people, especially Fox. She's a real character and so glad Lila brought her into the series, we needed someone like her in it.
She makes friends with hell mouth, wild cat and Jullian really quickly which is just perfect, anyone who doesn't get on with them then you know nothing is going to work out lol.
When I read her meeting up for online dating, I honestly said out loud 'that's a disaster waiting to happen' knowing about a lot of creepers out there. But when she meets Fox, gets all tongue tied and shit, I loved it. I was like 'awe'.
Now Fox, he went on the date because of losing a bet, which now meeting Ivy he's thankful for. I honestly loved them together.
I also loved how protective he was when they go to her cousins wedding. He defends her in front of them all. It was so sweet.

Also, like ALL Lila Rose books, it has some hot sex scenes in. Trust me, there's one in this that will blow your panties off. So hot.

Another well earned 5* for Lila.

Black out Hawks MC #3 By Lila Rose

At twenty-four, Clarinda James has lived a traumatic life. One of the last images she saw before losing her sight was that of her parents' death. The nightmares of that time still haunt her every night.

Taken in at nineteen by her sister, Clary didn’t know there was going to be a price to pay, a price far greater than her blindness. It’s not until Blue walks into her life, she realizes it’s possible to experience the joy of warmth. In her darkness, Blue will become her beacon, her guide. Little does she know that she’ll need to count on Blue more than she thought she would.

She has to…if she wants to stay alive.

Blue Skies is on the lookout for a woman. Always there to support his brothers, Talon and Griz, he’s not a stranger to the craziness of love or life. Nor is he a stranger to making it clear that comments surrounding his name are out of bounds. Despite the often effed-up situations his brothers find themselves in as a result of their women, he’s more than happy to settle down when he finds his missing piece.

After three weeks of seeing a gorgeous redhead in a cafĂ©, he refuses to let the opportunity pass him by. Building a tentative relationship with Clary is no easy task; she’s damaged. It’s not until he discovers the truth behind her darkness that he willingly lays claim to her. He is determined to protect her, no matter the cost. She is irrefutably his.

Oh My God.....
Where do I start??????
Holy freaking Hell...... Lila out did herself with this one, I freaking loved it and couldn't put the book down. No one could have pried my kindle from my fingers last night when I read this. As tired I was, I didn't go to sleep until i finished. The book has me wanting to read it again it was that good.
I loved it.

Clary, is so beautiful. She's partially blind. She can only see a shadow if the room is bright the outline of their body. She fell for blue before she even saw him, which to me is beautiful. I loved it.
The book is funny,,,,, I mean come on.... Julian is in it LOL
He calls Griz BOO BOO. I read it and nearly fell off my bed I was laughing that hard and I got worse at another certain seen involving a penis.... you'll know once you've read it ;)

There are also some emotional parts in there too, again I'm not ruining the book for you, but I swear it's good. She lives with her sister after a tragic accident leaves her blind. Her sister is a raging bitch mixed up in bad shit, only Cary doesn't know. Not being able to see she's dependent on her sister. I really felt for her. I just wanted to reach in and help because she didn't deserve what was happening.

I wish I could say more because the book honestly deserves it.
The only trouble i had was the ending to Cary's situation..... I felt like it should have been more, I don't know. The actual ending though was perfect. We also meet another character, Jason... Blue's brother, he's so freaking adorable... loved him. Plus he made me LOL which is always a plus....

5* but I wish I could give it more. Well done Lila

One Love (Gypsy Brothers #7) By Lilli St Germain

Will Julz complete her mission for vengeance against the Gypsy Brothers? Or is Dornan still one step ahead?

More shocking secrets will come to light and lives will be lost in this final, devastating instalment of the Gypsy Brothers series.

The final installment of the Gypsy brothers. I have read this novel every release day, and the cliffhangers just kept getting better.
It's not the end of the gypsy brothers, as Cartel is out soon, but it's the end to Jules and Dornan.
I will admit, I was completely took off guard by the ending and so disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting a happy ever after, but I was expecting something more. Something than what it was. After all she had been through, I wanted something given to her, some answers, I don't know!!!

Anyway, I understood when I read the authors note at the end of the book, SO MAKE SURE YOU READ IT..... That will explain why the ending is the way it is, which had me relaxing. I understood the book weren't about Jules and Jace but about Jules and Dornan.

I did feel the book was cramped into such a short book, so it's a shame it wasn't separated into two parts. It was still good, very detailed. Also the part leading up to the ending was epic, I loved it. I don't think Lilli could have written that any better.

Unsound: An Anthology By Chantal Fernando & M.N.Forgy

Time And Time Again
by Chantal Fernando

I always thought I had luck on my side.

Things seemed to go in my favour, whether by will or by nature.

But that luck just ran out.

Jobless and on the verge of being homeless, I find a strength in me that I didn't even know existed and discover an unlikely savior --- Tag.

He avoids commitment like the plague, and starting anything with him will only lead to heartbreak.

I know this.

He knows this.

So why am I still here?

Oh, right. Because I want him more than I want my next breath.

=========================================

The Broken Pieces Of Us
by M.N. Forgy

***WARNING - This is not your typical happily ever after.

Babs is no stranger to the MC world. As an ol’ lady, she takes the hell that comes with it and dishes it out times two. When things take a turn for the worst, it leaves her questioning just how equipped she is for the hell she lives. She thought her marriage with Locks was it; that she had it all. But the past has a way of sneaking up and tearing life apart. Finding herself trapped as Locks’ ol’ lady, with the threat she will be his till the grave, her world spirals out of control. The only person risking it all to save her is the last person she thought would care: Bull.

President of the Devil’s Dust MC, Bull, is good at running women off and is even better at pissing off his brothers. When he sees the way his vice-president is treating his ol’ lady, he tries to keep his thoughts to himself. The one thing Bull insists on in his club is respect and loyalty: respect for the patch, respect for your brother, and loyalty to the club. However, after finding Babs in a harsh predicament after a run in with Locks, he can’t help but step in.
Crossing lines and hurdling around life’s unpredictability, will they find refuge in each other or will they have to endure what life gives them?

I had read Chantal Fernando's Time and Time again first. I couldn't get into the second one so I'm not going to be reviewing it. It isn't fair for me to that when I never finished it.

So, the first one Time and Time again I got into pretty quickly considering the blurb gives nothing away really.
I liked both characters, love them, especially Tag. Hey, I'm a woman and I love hot men aha.

The story concludes to a young woman down on her luck. She's fighting to keep on living, but is barely able to keep a roof over her head. That is until Tag walks.... no stumbles into her life and rescues her as such. He gets her a job at a place he works, then when he finds out about her living situation, he offers her a place to stay. No actually, that's wrong, he demands she lives with him until she can settle down.
Spite her worries she follows him.
She was right to be worried.
He is a womanizer, but we don't see that in the book. I do wish the book was longer because once you get near the end it's rushed as hell. It's like Chantal was kicking us out of the story as such lol. It felt so deep, so detailed from the start that I was so disappointed at the ending. Especially the epilogue. It ruined it for me and the rating. I do wish she took more time with the ending. It does affect the book massively as you don't get that awe, or wow factor reading it.

Angels In Leather By Bella Jewel

Love is never beautiful.

It's dirty, and raw, and broken. That's what makes it perfect. It's two broken pieces forming together to make something whole, something worth fighting for.

Axel Wraithe is my other piece. He's the biker who's been hunting me for a year, yet he's the one who can so easily break me.

He wants what I have, and I want what he's got to give. Only he's fighting against himself, not willing to give it.

He's got monsters in his heart, changing who he is, changing what he believes in. I'm the only one who can help him, and I won't stop until I've got the truth.

I want to fix what's broken, but I can't do that without him.

So I'll fight for my gorgeous, broken biker. I'll fight until our pieces fit back together.

Angel's in leather is the one book that had me having nightmares. I've read disturbing books, more so than this one, but there was something about it that really made my stomach twist and turn. I don't know whether it's because of the forced sexual acts or what, but it really played on my mind. Bella Jewel really knows how to get you to feel what is actually happening in the book.
It isn't even the darkest read I've ever read, or the sickest. Which is why I found it weird this one played on my mind.
I didn't really show much of an MC, even though Axel was in an MC. It was mostly about situations around it and all to do with what she had on him.

I was surprised about certain surprises that came up, and yet again Bella Jewel throws us a curve ball making our assumptions of the book totally wrong. I honestly thought I had it all planned out right again, but then she threw us completely off towards the end with something no one could have guessed happening.

To give you a snippet of what the book is about without giving too much away, I will tell you it's about two people who kind of grew up together. When Axel leaves suddenly she doesn't know why, she just knows he changed into someone she didn't recognize.
He comes back years later to save her, then he kills her father. Then she goes on the run with a memory stick with information her father wants her to keep safe.

Like all her other books I can't tell you what goes on like what most people do in their reviews. It's a book you'll either love or hate. I have loved all her books so far and not one of her work has being predictable, original, or poorly written.
I've rated it 4*

Riot By Jamie Begley

Ice
As president of the Predators’ MC, my men and I are used to preying on the weak and those stupid enough to cross our paths. So why does a straitlaced teacher make me sit up and take notice when I see her for the first time?
The brothers all think she makes me weak, and believe me, weak in their eyes isn’t where I want to be. She wants me to prove she means more to me than the club, and when I fail, she thinks she can just walk away. She’s wrong. I’m a Predator, and nothing escapes me.

Grace
As a teacher, I’m supposed to want to educate those who want to learn, right? That’s what I believed until I was told I’d have to teach a class at the prison. I didn’t move to a town labeled as one of the safest places in America only to be faced with a bunch of Predators.
He expects me to trust him despite being the reason I’m trapped in the middle of a prison riot. His club means more to him than I ever will, and if I give him a chance, he will break the fragile peace I have managed to find. It’s not the first time I’ve had to escape a predator.

*WARNING*
This work of fiction is intended for mature audiences only. All sexually active characters portrayed in this ebook are eighteen years of age or older. Please do not buy if strong sexual situations, multiple partners, extreme violence, drugs, and explicit language offends you.

Riot is another fantastic novel from Jamie Begley. There has not been one book of Jamie's I have not loved and wanted more from. I will say, the action parts in this book were vague and had me wishing it detailed it more.

Grace is a teacher/ daughter of a famous movie star and producer. She's also a teacher. She is picked for a prison job after the current teacher got into an accident. Grace refuses, but when her jobs put on the line she takes the job unwillingly.
Working in the prison is one of the safest jobs she could have been chosen for right? I mean, there's loads of guards their to protect her. She's never been more wrong. Even after given numerous of warnings, Grace still turns up to every lesson.
She gets the attention of not one, but two bad men. Only one is using her and the other is another story, evil is too kind of a word I would use for him.

Being trapped in a prison riot turns out to be less of Grace's problems. She's a strong, kind, loving character. I love that she doesn't let Ice get away with walking over her and calls him on his shit. I hate the term ol lady and what comes with it. I was glad Grace wasn't another one of those women who follow their man and not answer back or put him in his place when he's wrong.

I really enjoyed the book. If I could have read it within one sitting I would have gladly done so. :)

I am looking forward to more of the series.

Anguish (Jokers Wrath #3) By Bella Jewel

There are a lot of things in this world that are easy to escape from. Having a son you didn't ask for isn't one of them.

Mack is a nomad. He likes his own space and he struggles with emotion. His past is grey and his future looks about the same. That is until his ex-girlfriend dies and his son is handed over to him. A two month old baby he didn't know existed. Until now.

His world comes crashing down around him.

Desperate, he hires a nanny.

Jaylah has gotten herself into some serious trouble, so when she sees the job opening for a nanny pop up, she jumps on it. Of course she's not a nanny, but she figures she can pull it off. I mean, how hard can it be?

She's thrown into a world of diapers, hourly feedings and a whole lot of laundry. She's also introduced to the most rugged, gorgeous man she's ever had the pleasure of meeting.

The best part, he's the baby's father.

The worst part, he's a biker.

Their sexual tension is huge, but he's a hard nut to crack. She'll get in, though. She makes it her mission to break through the wall Mack has built so high around himself.

Her world is about to spiral out of control, and she's taking Mack along for the ride.

Ahhhhh, book three in the Joker's wrath MC series.
I was given an ARC for an honest review.

Anguish is my favorite so far in the Joker's wrath series. It has so much more humor, hotter, sexier, and damn straight biker bad. LOVED it!!!

One scene in this that involves a nappy and a naked woman is hilarious. I was still laughing about it long after it was finished. If you read this review before reading the book, let me know when you've finished what you thought please? LOL!!!

Then we have the hot damn sex scenes. Holy shit!!!! They were written really good. It made the connection between the two so much better. It also helped they're both active, strong minded people, who also butt heads A LOT so when they're in the bedroom it's like an explosion.

I'm not keen on a male with better or longer hair than me, but in this case I'm going to give Mack a pass. He is crazy hot and doesn't take any shit. Love that more about him.
Then we have the sexy, funny, sassy, rambling Jaylah. I've never loved a female character as much as I've loved this one. She had me laughing from the start to the finish.
The action part in the book is brilliant. But then, what book of Bella's isn't?
We also meet a new character in this novel who you're all going to love. Trust me. and guess what? The next Joker's Wrath book is going to be about him :) *Happy dance*

So glad I was given the chance to review this for Bella Jewel. If you love a good biker romance than this is one series to read. Of course Hell knights, also from Bella Jewel is another awesome MC novel. ;)

5* flaming hot stars.

Incandescent By River Savage

Phoenix ‘Nix’ Knight thought pulling his club out of the illegal shit his Pops got them into was difficult.

Until he meets Kadence.

Kadence Turner has no business lusting over a student’s father, especially the president of the Knights Rebels MC. Nix is crass, obnoxious and dangerously sexy and for some reason, Kadence can’t seem to hate him for it. The bossy biker breaks down her defenses, but unlike the old Kadence, the woman she is today won’t give in without a fight.

The tension is undeniable, the attraction fierce. A man that wants what he wants and a woman that will fight him every step of the way.

This isn't your normal MC novel. I will have to say, I loved it even more. I've always wished to read about an MC that was clean. This MC is clean from drugs, guns and women.
I loved the chemistry between the two main characters. I do wish we got to see more of Holly who is Kadence best friend.
Although the book wasn't involved around the MC or the MC life, I enjoyed it so much.
The whole teacher thing was a great idea. Him meeting her in the school, then in a club, I don't know I kind of liked the change in it.

It also has a really good ending. I really enjoyed the action and everything else that was going on towards the end of the book.

Angel's Halo Entangled (Angel's Halo #2) By Terrie Anne Browning

Angel’s Halo MC Series

He was the MC’s enforcer. The man to dole out punishments within the club. Men feared him, and so the peace was kept. For the most part. But Spider isn’t at peace with himself. There is only one thing in life he wants, and she just stormed back into his life…

Willa

The moment I saw him, I belonged to Spider Masterson. Now, four years later, I still can’t help but want to belong to him. Even after all the pain he has put me through, I couldn’t keep my distance.

Spider

There have been two females in my life that have ever made me feel anything. One was my best friend. The other owned my soul. She’d tattooed her name on my heart the second she had smiled at me for the first time. But the past stands in our way. I know I need to explain that night to her, but once I have her back in my bed, I can’t think about anything but making her mine.

This book was kind of similar to the first one, the different POV, all the different situations going on.
It was better written than the previous Angel's Halo, but I still found errors throughout the book. It does did another run through.
That said, I was proper getting into the story. I like Willa and Spider, he intrigued me in the first book in the series. I was expecting a little more, but it still didn't disappoint. I'm hoping that the series all lead up to something big, but at the moment, it feels kind of staggers everywhere.

Angels Halo (Angel's Halo MC #1) By Terri Anne Browning

Being part of the MC that was Angel’s Halo was exactly like being part of a family. A scary, powerful, crazy family. It was also like its own society. There are rules, just as there are in every family, every society. But only breaking one of their rules will leave you in a broken, blood pile on the floor…
No one touches Raven Hannigan.

Raven
I was the MC’s only weakness. Or so my father use to tell me as I was growing up. Mad Max Hannigan was once Angel’s Halos’ president. He made the rules and everyone was expected to follow them or come face to fist with the enforcer…
I have spent my life in the middle of the MC. I knew the rules—the penalties for breaking those rules. So I knew what would happen to him if I let him break the golden rule… But I loved him, like I have never loved anyone or anything before. I thought my love would protect him.
Of course it hadn’t. When our secret was discovered he was beaten.
So I shouldn’t blame him for leaving me…

Bash
As the enforcer I knew the consequences. Knew exactly what was in store for me when Raven’s family found out that I had dared to break my MC’s unforgivable rule. I loved her, so it didn’t matter to me. When her oldest brother delivered my punishment I didn’t scream. Didn’t groan. I took it like the man my MC had made me, and would have done it over and over again if that was what it took to be able to call Raven Hannigan mine.
But then my past reared its ugly head and I had a choice to make. One that I have only lived to regret.
Taking on the job as Angel’s Halos’ new president was my second chance. But… would my secrets destroy everything Raven and I once had?

I don't even know where to begin on this novel. Whether to point out the bad points or the good points or blend them together. It's so hard to rate this novel.
I read it in one sitting, so the book isn't all that long, but it's very detailed and so much going on all at once.

When I first started reading the novel I presumed it was going to be about Bash and Raven. I was half right. The book doesn't really concentrate on them, but on everyone around them too. It doesn't make me feel like the two should belong together.
Bash walked away from Raven after he suffered the consequences of touching Raven. He was then given permission to date Raven, but instead walked away without telling anyone why. This left Raven hurt thinking he left her. Only, Bash is harboring secrets.
I don't know if these secrets are supposed to be the big story plot, so I'm not going to say what they are. What I will say is I agreed on everything Raven said or felt. If I was in her position I would have felt unworthy, rejected. He trusted someone else, another woman, to know his secret, but not Raven, the woman he claimed to love and got beat up for. He decided to let a woman who was not Raven into his secret for over 12 months. To me, that's a portrayal all by it self. I wouldn't have been easily as forgiven as she was. I couldn't even understand why he kept what he did a secret. I really don't. If he knew Raven the way the book makes him come across he would have known what her reaction would be. He would also know her reaction from not being told. So I don't know why he acted the way he did. Been all surprised.

Like I said, the story isn't just about Raven and Bash. It's about Ravens brothers, Gracie, Willa and Flick. So it got confusing at times.

I also found some sentences didn't make sense and would advice the author to read it aloud before publishing in future. There was also the switch of her writing in past then present tense.
Like sometimes she'd put was instead of is etc. It did get confusing after a while.
I might be complaining about the cons of the book, but I did enjoy it, so remember that whilst reading this review. LOL!!
I found the mixed POV to be both bad and good. I didn't feel like the story was based on just the main characters like I said earlier. It was a jumbled mess if that makes sense to people. I liked the fact we got to see others POV though.
Then we have the ending. Well, if that's what you want to call it. It was kind of hard to as nothing really happened. I felt like I had just read the beginning of the book. I also thought the ending was really random. To me, the way it ended should have begun in the second book, but after reading some of the second novel (which I'll be reviewing soon) and it not going straight to where it left of from, kind of puzzled me more. Maybe writing down a layout of this would help? I don't know.

#3.5 * but I've put 4* on goodreads to round it up.

Point of freedom (The Nordic Lords MC #3) By Stacey Lynn

RELEASED 23RD OCTOBER

Hatred.

Desire.

Broken Dreams.

Jules McAllister has loved and lost.

She experienced the gut wrenching pain of grief after her boyfriend, Scratch, a member of the Nordic Lords MC, died on the same night that she told him they were going to have a child.

Grief stricken and destroyed, she left Jasper Bay, unable to tell anyone the truth of what really happened that fateful night.

When her childhood friend, Olivia needs her, Jules realizes it’s time to return home and give her daughter what she wants most – a family.

But Jules didn’t count on the tumultuous emotions she would feel around Scratch’s brooding and angry brother, Jaden.

Jaden has vowed to never forgive Jules for, what he feels is her role his brother’s death. Being face to face with Jules again, who is now a mother to a young child, he finds that his anger hasn’t waned and swears to have nothing to do with mom or child.

But how can he reconcile the burning fury in his soul with the irrational urge to touch her? To taste her? To own her completely?

Can wounded hearts that still bleed ever be healed? And can two people broken by their pasts find freedom from their pain in each other?

Or will a night of passion destroy them both?

Point of Freedom has to be the best one in the series. Although I felt a connection to the last book I found this one had more of a feel to it. I also found the writing was so much better, and i couldn't put it down. I started it in the morning and never put it down till I had finished it.

Basically Jules was with Jaden's brother, Scratch. When he died Jaden blamed her for the accident and never forgave her, in fact, he can't stand looking at her, yet he still can't keep his eyes off of her. When she turns up back in their home town the last thing anyone expected was for her to bring a two year girl, who is Scratches daughter. She did try telling Jaden before she moved away from all the blame and hate given towards her. I mean, I don't blame her, they wouldn't even let her at the funeral.
Anyway, Jules moves back to town because of a crazy ex, one who wants her back. Well fate keeps throwing Jaden at her and vise versa.
For Sophie, her little girl she tries hard to be nice to Jaden even though he's a complete jerk to her.

There's a lot more going on in this one that will have you on the edge of your seat, and your heart racing. I didn't like it towards the end because I felt like I was missing a book. I wanted to know what was happening in the time Jaden was unattainable. Or how they handled the Mob family. It all seemed rushed on that part anyway.

Also at the end, just like in the previous book, Meg calling Faith for help and her sounding scared asking if she can stay with them. I'm hoping the next book is about her, and stick the Australian guy, Finn with her and I'm reading it ;) I want to know more about the two.

Point of Redemption (The Nordic Lords MC #2) By Stacey Lynn

Lies.
Heartbreak.
Betrayal.

No one knew the devastation of those three words more than Faith Winston and five years ago, she endured every one of them. All she wanted was to feel safe and marry the very man who promised to love her and protect her, Ryker Knight.

But growing up in the Nordic Lords Motorcycle Club, she should have known she couldn’t have a happy ending. Instead, her world became a nightmare. The bikers—her family—abandoned her, leaving her to crash without their safety net.

Ryker Knight has spent the last five years consumed with guilt, running from the ghosts that haunt him. That is until his past catches up with him the moment his brother needs his help. Returning home to Jasper Bay, he’s forced to face the same ghosts he was running from. Only to find that the woman he loved is trapped in a hell of her own, entrenched behind enemy lines —and it’s all his fault.

And even though Ryker’s life comes with priorities that he can’t – and won’t - turn his back on, he refuses to leave Jasper Bay until he’s found Faith.

But will she want to return to the life she’s always wanted even if Ryker is no longer capable of giving her what he once promised?

Point of redemption is so much more better than the first book in the series.
I loved Faith in the first one and hated what she had to do to survive the life her mother gave her.
You know when you dislike a mother in a book and it makes you happy you have the mother you do. I got like that and even text my mom to tell her I loved her and thanked her for everything she did for me. The mother in this book, well, let's just say, I was glad how it ended for her.

This book has more of a connection between the characters. You can feel the chemistry and the love they have. I think Stacey's writing improves mega in this one. She created a serious issue and made it so you could feel the pain and torment without actually knowing the full extent of what Faith went through.

I loved Ryker, and so glad he stepped in and showed her who she was again, not who they made her think she was.

All in all the story continues from the first one, where they make a deal with a mob family.
Writing my review next on Point of freedom.

Point of Return (The Nordic Lords MC #1) By Stacey Lynn

Deceit.
Destruction.
Death.

Olivia Masters grew up familiar with all of them. The daughter of the President of the Nordic Lords Motorcycle Club, Olivia always knew she wanted nothing to do with any of it. Her plans were made to leave the town she grew up in as soon as she and her boyfriend, Daemon Knight, turned eighteen.

But then Olivia was shot. Her mother killed in front of her. Fleeing became her reality.
Forced to return to her hometown of Jasper Bay five years later, events beyond Olivia’s control put her directly back into the life she swore she’d never return to.

Her dad wants her back in the family. Daemon wants her in his bed.
But just as Olivia begins to accept her destiny, history finds a way to repeat itself.

This time, will Olivia be strong enough to fight for the family she once turned her back on? Or will she once again flee from the only life that has ever felt like home?

Okay, I was given an ARC for an honest review. I will say, it did take a lot to get into. I found I was lost and never connected to the reason Oliver left. Maybe if the prologue was written, and about the shooting it would have made me feel different. I don't know.
Oliver was a very confusing woman. I couldn't get a handle on her, I really couldn't. The blurb suggests Olivia returns due to events beyond her control, well I didn't know what they were because she was already back home. Maybe the author could have started with her moving back maybe?
Also the blurb mentions her dad wants her back in the family, but I never got that from the book. Yes, he mentioned she belonged with the club, but he never really made an effort with her, I didn't get that bond with them.

Then we have Olivia and Daemon's relationship, if that's what it was. I didn't get that either. Why would you want to be with someone after just watching him getting head by another woman? you wouldn't. No matter who they are. If you loved them you would never forgive that kind of betrayal, if they loved you, they'd never put you in that position. I never connected to them as a couple what-so-ever. I could never put my finger on exactly why, but then I read a review, one that hit the nail on the head.
Oliver and Daemon were never together long enough in the book for us readers to get a grip on their relationship, or feel that strong love bond between the two. I never felt like they connected other than the chemistry, and even that was put mildly.

Then we have the story line.... Parts of this were really good, and had me reading the next chapter, but it wasn't as good as I hoped it to be. The ending however has me wanting to read the next book. Olivia has a friend called faith, when Olivia moved away after the event that took her mother etc, she lost touch. Only Faith has been going through her own personal hell and with the biker club she once called family no longer protecting her, she's sold by her mother to the rival MC as an escort. I can't wait to read the next one for her story, and I pray like hell it's a happy ending.

Two Roads (Gypsy Brothers #6 By Lili St Germain

Juliette and Jase may be out of Dornan's immediate reach, but as tensions rise, will they end up walking right into the enemy's trap?

Can Juliette forgive Jase for his devastating betrayal, or will it destroy everything they've been fighting for?

I will have to write an honest review. I understand these are short story's and only VOLUMES, but this one ended too quickly. I also didn't feel like there was anything of importance really, other than a few things, the rest dragged. I also found the author repeating the characters feelings over and over again. It got to me.
It wasn't as good as all the others. It didn't get me on edge like the rest did. I felt like it was plain in comparison to the rest.
Now for the good stuff, because this series is freaking awesome.
I had actually cried in this one, I mean, really, really cried.
The ending, just like the other's, ended with a WTF cliffhanger. LOL.
I couldn't understand what the hell was going on. So I'm excited to read what is going to happen next and if Julz and Jase get their happy ending. Also Dornan doesn't take it lying down either, he does something not even I expected. Well, I knew he was capable of doing it, I just never saw it coming in this novel. Cryptic? Has to be, it's the best part of the book bein's the first half dragged a little.

Melancholy (Jokers' wrath MC #2) By Bella Jewel

"There's never been a time I've cared about anything more than my club. Today that all changed. Today I got you."

Maddox is the President of the Jokers' Wrath MC. He's hard, he's determined and he's never had to give his heart over…until the day he found and saved Santana. Sassy and head-strong, she's given him a run for his money for a solid five years. Their tension has built and both of them have danced around a passion that's burning so deep in their souls, it's all-consuming.

They want each other - they're just too stubborn to admit it. Heat, lust and sassy natures will have them fighting against what's real. She's feisty, he's stubborn. But everything will change the moment she gets her first taste of the rugged, broody biker.

There's one problem with this story...Maddox has a secret.

A secret he knows will crush Santana. It will take her life and spiral it out of control, sending them into a world of danger that will risk not only their lives, but everyone in the clubs, too.
Will their love withstand the battle? Or will Maddox lose the only girl he's loved, forever?

Ahhhhhh Bella Jewel, you've done it again.
Melancholy is Santana and Maddox's story. And what a story it bloody is. I loved their characters from the first novel and I was a little disappointed this one didn't show us Maddox kinky side like we did in the first of the Jokers Wrath series. All said and done though, I completely loved it and it was hot and steamy.
There was more to the story line in this one, which had me glued. I couldn't put it down until I had finished. It didn't take me longer than a day either.

There is so much action and something always going on. It doesn't even make it feel over the top either. It was enough to make you grip the edge of your seat, your heart to race, and your mind to be blown. It was a bloody brilliant book.
I will say, this one had me in stitches. I love Santana and Maddox's banter. Especially towards the end when he's wearing a hospital gown and she's calling it a dress. You can only imagine the reaction she got LOL So funny. I'm giggling now just remembering it LOL

The ending was a mix between humor and wanting to cry. Honestly. I've never never even cried in an MC novel that I can think of, but this one had me crying, laughing, gasping and excited to turn the page to read more.

Another 5* for Bella Jewel. I can't wait to read Macks story as I love his character.
